Steph Edwards, Recital Coordinator at Lancaster Priory
"Harvey is a lively and engaging performer who manages to connect with a wide range of audience members. His programmes appeal to musicians of all kinds and he has nurtured respect amongst his followers over the years. He is tremendously well organised and is able to promote his own gigs in a professional style. Harvey’s annual performances at Lancaster Priory in our well-established Saturday morning recital series are a sheer delight."
Nigel Pursey, Organist Shrewsbury Abbey
"Harvey gave one half of a well-attended public recital on the Shrewsbury Abbey organ in October 2022. His performance of the first movement of Elgar's Organ Sonata was exemplary, with obviously meticulous preparation and thoughtful use of the colours of the Abbey's Hill organ. He followed that by performing two pieces by Whitlock, clearly a "special interest" for Harvey who played both beautifully and convincingly. Clearly Harvey is destined for many years of top flight organ performance."
Steve Holloway, Lunchtime Recital Coordinator at Romsey Abbey
"Romsey Abbey Lunchtime Recital 28th May 2024.
Lunchtime recital-goers at Romsey Abbey enjoyed and greatly appreciated a wonderful organ recital by Harvey Stansfield. Playing the Abbey's historic Walker organ, Harvey demonstrated his own musicality and skill as an organist, whilst his repertoire explored a wide range of the organ's capabilities. A truly memorable performance."
